Your enlightenment lies just below the surface.

Your enlightenment lies just below the surface.
Close your eyes and come into the present moment.

Gently scan your feelings and notice what you experience—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Take a few minutes to pay attention to whatever’s going on.

Then slowly and carefully scan for a more subtle feeling—an almost imperceptible, non-obvious, microscopic sense of something you can’t quite put your finger on. See if you can hone in on this elusive, hard-to-define sense.

It could be anything—a hint of happiness, a trace of tension, a smidget of spaciness, a pinch of pleasure, a touch of tiredness…or perhaps a flash of an image or a sound.

It’s the type of perception you wouldn’t usually notice, and if you did, you’d ignore it because it’s not part of your main experience.

Focus on it.

Amplify it by making the experience stronger, bigger, more intense. Imagine sensing it x100.

Spend some time getting to know it.

Identify with it.

Then ask yourself these questions:

If this feeling sense had a hidden intelligence, what would this be?

If it was an attitude toward life, what would it be?

If it could speak, how would it tell you to live?

What would it say to the part of yourself that’s against you living this way?

Does this way of being provide a solution to a problem you’re dealing with?

Your usual consciousness only perceives the tip of the iceberg; beneath the limen you’ll find the experiences that hold the keys to healing, change, and growth.

Your enlightenment lies just below the surface.

Rock yer day!
