Adam Zwig's "Cast Iron Letters" is a beautiful mellow pedal steel folk rock CD. Through his raw singing style and socially insightful lyrics, Zwig shows a maturity and wisdom about the relationship between the individual and this crazy world we live in. While every song is solid, "Who Killed Michael Vaughn", It's All Gonna Fall", and "Freedom Flashing", are the gems of the album. They each in their own way interweave the personal and the social in a way that makes you feel and think deeply. The CD is soothing but keeps a constant groove and portrays a powerful message. Definitely an important power folk CD of 2007.
